She held her head high, As the words were thrown against her, Thy cannot defy, yet she must proceed, For the walls of her soul remain closed, Doors that were opened, scarred her,
Now a lifeless soul, She strides to work, Thoughts, emotions; why does she do this,
The worst are the eyes, the endless questions, She wishes she never knew, Yet they bore at her, Each a knife that cuts so deep, Breathing is yet a challenge,
His face appears from behind, The lips of betrayal yet to linger, She endures their words, their stares, Accusative markings shadowed her, The truth buried so deep yet so transparent in her view,
